I have a love/like relationship with these boots. They are cute enough, but I felt the quality was not the best and I'm not sure how long the Velcro will hold up. If I can get a couple of winters out of them, I will be happy. They are a bit large all around, but that is because I went with a 3E when I probably would have been fine with a 2E. I am diabetic and wanted to make sure I have enough toe room. However with nice, thick socks they are acceptably comfortable and my toes are happy walking back and forth in the bedroom.I will update my review once the weather gets colder and I actually wear these out more. I'll report on how they feel after several hours and how they hold up to the weather.UPDATED ALREADY TODAY: Since it was a cool 56 outside, I thought I would go ahead and wear them as I had some running around to do. I put them on as I got ready to get used to walking in them.First thing I noticed is the size is wrong on the tongue of the boot. I hadn't looked under it for the size when I tried them on earlier, but these are supposed to be a XX3E and it was a XX4E (made in China)...so sizing does not match up with what is the on the order page.Second thing was the more I wore them I found that, for me, there was just not enough padding on the bottom and no arch support (I have high arches and I had read in some of the comments they had high arches and found them comfortable). The bottom of my feet and my ankles were getting sore about 10 minutes into wearing them, even with the double foam inserts...which I had to go check to see if they really were in there because I certainly wasn't feeling like there was any padding between me and the bottom of the shoe by this time. They are there, but they are very thin. I know I can buy an additional gel insert, but these were expensive and I don't want the added expense.Lastly, the more I walked around the apartment getting ready, I found myself tripping on the carpet a lot (I know, pick up my feet! But the boots felt heavy!). I am guessing the size is just a tad too awkward for me to continue to wear and I am just not finding the full comfort others are talking about so I am going to return them. I am back in my pink ribbon Skechers and out the door. This extra width makes for a comfortable fit, though most boots are automatically wider it seems when just ordering the number size alone. This pair though seems like an extra perfect fit. I was disappointed, though, with the hook and loop closure as stated in the description, as the straps are stitched on one side and velcro on the other. I was expecting a boot that went through a loop and then coming back to the other side and thought there was a hook or something for it to latch onto. I really didn't want a velcro closing. I had been wearing a child's size 7 boys boot and those had the straps stitched on one side then the strap went through a loop and doubled back to a velcro closing on the end. Those double straps across the front does seem to hold the boot on better. I tighten the strap on the Propets as much as I can but it still doesn't feel as secure as those cheaper nylon kid's boots which cost about $20 from 7 or more years ago. I thought for the money and the finer quality of the suede, I would be getting the hook and loop feature that worked as well as on the kids boots. These are comfortable, soft and nice looking, so that is why I gave the 4 stars. This boot was just beautiful when it arrived and I was excited to try it on, but the ankle is incredibly narrow and it was impossible for me to wear. Admittedly, my ankles are not slim and I am overweight, but this has a much narrower entry at the ankle than boots I've purchased in the past. I would still highly recommend this boot for the quality of construction and the great Propet reputation, but beware if you don't have skinny ankles!I wore these around the house the first day I had them. I have a problem right foot and these are cushiony enough and roomy enough in the toe box. They are very warm. I wore them shopping today and so far so good. They also look cute with skinny jeans and leggings as well as regular jeans that are not tucked in.I ordered these hoping they'd fit my wide calves but they don't. The top strap comes close but there's over an inch of wasted space where the strap is stitched further back on the boot and unfortunately that one inch made it to where it couldn't connect to the velcro on the other side. Cute boots though, I'm hoping they'll fit at a later date.I wear a size 8 or 8.5 so I ordered the 8.5N and they were too small. If I reorder them, I will probably need a 9 or 9.5.I am addicted to ordering online.....that is, except when it comes to shoes. However this shoe, with the excellent pricing was worth a try. I was so happy at the result, I had to jump on a soap box and tell whoever would listen. These are one of the most comfortable shoe I own. It is usually difficult to order shoes on line due to my small but wide feet. These shoes did not disappoint and stylish, too. I am looking forward to purchasing more from this family owned business. Thank you!Another boot that was not true to size (I wear a 10.5 and this was too short). And it was over priced to boot!
